About the Artist
Hey everyone! My name is Cate Morgan. I am a 19 year old artist from Birmingham, Alabama. My art is inspired by a love of people and places around me. I've been so blessed to be surrounded by beautiful people and places that bring life to my art. I've always been especially inspired by faces and drawing portraits (as I'm sure you can tell by looking at my portfolio haha). I've always drawn faces. I started drawing faces and people so far back, when I was so little, that I don't even know why I started. I think, maybe, before I had a camera or a phone to keep photos on, that I was trying to document the people I loved, to remember how they look. Now I try to capture their expressions. The way a person's face lights up when they're talking about something they're passionate about, the crease between eyebrows when they are confused or frustrated, or a true heart felt laugh. I love people; I love faces, and I love to draw. If you have a loved one you want a portrait of, or an idea that you're passionate that you want to bring life to I would LOVE to help you!
